The Prague Convention Bureau, in cooperation with the Czech Society of Allergology and Clinical Immunology, won the tender process after three years of efforts. EAACI’s flagship congress annually brings together more than 8,000 healthcare professionals and scientists, including key opinion leaders from around the world.
The European Academy of Allergy and Clinical Immunology (EAACI) is an association of more than 13,000 clinicians, researchers and allied health professionals from 124 countries, dedicated to improving the health of people affected by allergic diseases and the ‘asthma.
Following the highly successful London Digital Congress 2020 and the Hybrid Congress held in Krakow, Poland in 2021, the EAACI 2022 Congress will travel to Prague, Czech Republic, to be hosted again in a hybrid format. “The hybrid format brings many new benefits and scalable features, as experienced at the first hybrid EAACI congress in 2021. It allows attendees to attend and network from all over the world, but we also want to express our wish to have as many participants as possible with us personally in Prague, to enjoy both the social contact with friends and colleagues and the unique scientific and cultural atmosphere that the magic of Prague has to offer ”, said teacher. MUDr. Petr Panzner CSc., Local Ambassador and President of Congress 2022.
The theme of the EAACI 2022 Congress is “The Common Origins of Allergies and Chronic Inflammatory Diseases – The One Health Approach”. During the three-day program, delegates will have the chance to attend over 200 expert presentations and interactive workshops led by key opinion leaders and high-profile speakers.
“The One Health approach is the determination of the links between human health and all environmental factors such as pollution, climate change, animal health and many others. It will be very stimulating and exciting to discuss these topics at the Hybrid Congress. I am confident that the Science Program 2022 will not only help participants to gather updated scientific information, but will also be very useful in their daily practice as physicians and other healthcare professionals through interactive workshops and sessions. meeting with the experts, ”says Prof. Panzner. .
“A multitude of common factors appear to be responsible for the development, duration and severity of allergic diseases. All of these factors can have varying influence on the development and outcome of allergic diseases. Therefore, in order to successfully combine them, a well-coordinated approach in both humans and animals is required. It involves a joint effort of all stakeholders, forging collaborations between various disciplines, government agencies, industry and patients. There is no better place to bring all these minds together than the EAACI Hybrid Congress 2022, which will offer three days of intensive knowledge sharing, world-class lectures by our experts and the opportunity to reflect on these links, priorities and challenges as the interdisciplinary community that we are ”, says Pr Marek Jutel, President of EAACI.
