STALKER 2 Dev GSC Game World would move from Ukraine to Prague to complete the game

As we’ve explained in detail, Russia’s invasion of Ukraine has upended the country’s sizeable video game development community. One of the hardest-hit companies was studio STALKER 2 GSC Game World, which (understandably) announced that development had “sidelined” as they focused on the safety of their employees. and their families.
Well, according to new reports from Eastern Europe, it looks like steps are indeed being taken to keep the GSC Game World team safe, and possibly even resume development of STALKER 2. According to Czech journalist Pavel DobrovskyGSC plans to move the entire team from Kyiv to Prague.

Ech, tak další oprava: podle všeho to není část, ale všichni.

Tweet 1 – Part of the Ukrainian studio GSC Game World (working on Stalker 2) is moving to Prague.
Tweet 2 – Correction: apparently it’s not a party, but everyone.
Dobrovsky’s report is backed by Czech website Vortex, which claims to have confirmed from its own sources that GSC Game World is seeking permissions to bring the studio to Prague. While the sources reporting GSC’s move are trustworthy, the company itself has yet to confirm their move. Obviously, given the volatile situation in and around Ukraine, nothing is 100% safe until this actually happens.
STALKER 2 is coming to PC and Xbox Series X/S. The game is currently slated for a December 8 release, but it seems unlikely that milestone will be reached at this point.
At Wccftech, we hope for a peaceful resolution of the conflict and the safety of all Ukrainian citizens. If you would like to donate to the International Committee of the Red Cross to support humanitarian efforts in Ukraine, please visit this page.
