Prague Lions sign Zach Harrod as HC

The Prague lionsthe European Football League (ELF) newest member, announced Zach Harrod as head coach for the 2023 season.

The the Lions The first official signing of the year is hardly surprising as Harrod has been with the team in some capacity since 2004. I joined the team 18 years ago as a player, Harrod has since worked his way into the role of head coach and will now lead the the Lions in the ELF.

Of his official appointment as head coach, Harrod had this to say:

“I am delighted to lead the Prague Lions into this exciting new chapter. I have always wanted and searched for an opportunity that would make sense for us and it is. These are exciting times for football in the Czech Republic. and I’m working hard to make sure as many guys as possible get in on it.

“I believe in this sport. It can change lives. I have witnessed how this sport has changed lives in Prague. I’ve always dreamed of a way to capture the imagination of this country and have an even deeper impact. This opportunity with ELF is exactly what I have been waiting for for almost two decades!

During his tenure at prague Harrod, from the countryside Wisconsin has appeared in many Czech bowls as a player and manager and oversaw the junior team’s domestic dominance winning nine of the last 18 National Championships.

As co-owner of the the Lions, Harrod will be heavily invested in the team’s immediate success both on and off the pitch. An immediate challenge may be finding domestic talent as many Czech Republic football community remains divided.

But with the team being located in one of the most iconic cities in Europe in addition to being at the center of the continent, success both commercially and on the scoreboard does not have to be fleeting.
