Hello everyone, my name is Robin and I’m happy to be your Prague property guide. If you want to know more about Prague, its neighborhoods, its history and the best shopping options, keep an eye on my column for the scoop!

Over the past 10 years I’ve helped over 300 expat families buy property in this beautiful country and now I’m here to talk about everything I’ve learned in the hope that it can help you. any further.

Because let’s be honest, if we think of Prague specifically, it really is a city like no other, isn’t it?

According to our research, Prague ranks quite well among expats for its standard of living, excellent public transport, work opportunities, safety and of course its beautiful architecture. It’s no wonder so many expats are looking to buy property here.

This article is an introduction to the new series on all things Prague real estate and related material that will interest you even if you are not looking to buy.

For example, did you know panels (these tall and simple buildings) are a legacy of communism and its thirst for simplicity? Another fun fact about panels: while this style of building may be seen as something for low income families and in some cases come with some social stigma in other countries, this is not necessarily the case here in Czech Republic.

What else can you expect?

  • More fun facts about paneláks and why they might be a good investment
  • How to choose the right renovation company
  • Secrets of Vinohrady Villas
  • What happened to all the property developers in today’s market?
  • What is happening with house prices and when can we expect them to fall?
  • Quarterly market reviews
  • Monthly webinars for first-time buyers
  • Scoops on developments in various areas of the city

All in all, I intend this column to become a comprehensive guide for expats on buying property here in the Czech Republic, with a healthy dose of entertainment and fun facts for the rest of you readers. .

For those of you who may have met me before or know me on Facebook Group of Czech expat ownersyou will know that honesty and precision are my main motivation.
