London, UK–(Newsfile Corp. – January 12, 2022) – London-based international law firm GLPB Lawyers is moving its headquarters from London, UK, to Prague, Czech Republic.
“Our law firm represents large corporations and high net worth individuals, who are primarily based in Russia and the European Union, so this step is justified and inevitable. Since the UK divorced from the European Union, we are no longer certain of the future on the island.” – Adam Szumowski, Director of Public Relations for GLPB Lawyers, says.
The company is also looking into remote working. The new headquarters will have a wider variety of spaces, including more small areas to allow for huddles, as well as small meeting rooms designed for people connecting with others via video conferencing software. It will be rare for all employees to need the office at the same time, Szumowski said, although many will circulate part of the time during the week.
“That’s the direction law firms are heading in, and we need to be there,” Szumowski said. “We want to think about how work will be in 10 years. At GLPB Lawyers, we always try to be a few steps ahead in planning for our future and that of our clients.”
After the global pandemic, businesses are embracing a permanent shift to working from home as they seek to downsize, upgrade or sublet space. Economic uncertainty has led some companies that have not yet committed to relocating, extending leases at their current bases or abandoning moves to expensive premises.
