European Poker Tour returns with EPT Prague Series in December

After a long hiatus, PokerStars announced that the European poker tour should return in December with the 2021 TPE Prague. The series of 59 events will take place from December 8 to 19, 2021 at the Hilton Hotel in Prague.

The health and safety of players and staff is of paramount importance and we have a number of measures in place to ensure that all participants feel comfortable and confident. The centerpiece of the whole deal will be the buy-in of € 5,300 TPE Prague The main no-limit hold’em event, which runs December 13-19. The last time this event took place, in 2019, Mikalai Pobal emerged victorious to become the second player to win two TPE headlines from the main event, following in Victoria Coren Mitchell’s footsteps. Pobal, who won TPE Barcelona in 2012, survived a field of 1,154 total entries in the event to win € 1,005,600 ($ 1,116,216 USD).
In addition to the main event, the 2021 TPE Prague will also host a buy-in of € 1,100 TPE Prague National event (December 9 to 13) and the buy-in of € 10,300 TPE Prague High Roller (December 17-19).
Regarding the security protocols of the series, the PoekrStars press release proposed the following:
PokerStars works with the Hilton Hotel Prague in accordance with applicable government and medical guidelines to ensure players and staff feel comfortable and a safe environment is provided. Anyone entering the casino must wear a face mask, have a temperature test, and show proof of vaccination or proof of a negative test. Social distancing will be implemented, personal protective equipment (EAR) will be available, disinfection stations will be around the casino and players and staff are requested to disinfect regularly. The cleaning of tables and around the casino will also be stepped up.
