New dates have been announced for the European Poker Tour (EPT) Prague event that was recently canceled due to the Covid-19 situation in the country. The festival will now take place from March 5 to 16 at the Hilton Hotel in Prague.
The current situation in the Czech Republic fueled fears that the event would be canceled rather than postponed, but with things improving, the decision was made to try to organize it as soon as possible.
Severin Rasset, Managing Director and Commercial Manager of Poker at PokerStars, said: “I am delighted that we have been able to adapt so quickly to the ever-changing situation and already provide our players with new dates for EPT Prague, as well. that some fun and value online EPTs in the meantime. Many thanks to our partners at Kings Casino and Hilton Prague for working with us to ensure we found an alternative solution for the event.
He added that he appreciates the huge demand from the PokerStars community to play in these live events with prestigious titles, but safety must come first. He said $ 100,000 from EPT Online will be set aside for all live event staff who have been affected by the postponement.
