American songwriter and activist Austin Lucas finally returns to Prague

austin lucascountry singer-songwriter with punk roots and anti-fascist activist from Indiana, returned to his native country in 2019 after eight years as a bartender in the Czech Republic, cultivating Prague’s DIY songwriting scene and touring the world.
Consumed by an overdeveloped sense of wanderlust as a youngster, Austin spent his formative years in the driver’s seat of various battered Ford Econolines.
Burning through countless miles and living across the globe, it has taken up residence everywhere from the American West Coast to Central European states.
As a youngster, Austin loved a diverse mix of classic rock, country, punk, psychedelic folk and mountain music and made a career out of successfully merging these disparate influences into something all his own.
Emerging as a prominent and revered talent among his fans and peers, Austin is known as a songwriter and has rubbed shoulders with some of the most recognizable icons of folk, punk, indie, country and Americana.
With the release of the latest album Living in the hot zone in 2020, he’s getting some well-deserved attention from music media and fans alike.
His return to Prague will not take place at the 007 Strahov club, where he usually performed, but at the Smíchov factory. The leader of the legendary punk band Face to faceTrever Keith, will perform with him on May 5 at MeetFactory.
